Meet Valeriy

  • Sepp Holzer’s* student and ancestral horticulturist with over 30 years’ experience in USA, Europe, Eastern Asia, and Russia.

  • Graduated from Moscow State Pedagogical University – Biological Science

  • Spent 4 years at Holzer’s Krameterhof farm in Alps.

  • Participated in several permaculture design projects in Russia, Thailand and USA.

  • Valery’s passion to permaculture was ignited after his children were born and  his family made a transition to health lifestyle. He realized that the system we have in place does not work. Its not friendly to humans as organisms and as living creatures. We are risking of not leaving anything to our kids if we don’t change the way we live today. He was attracted by permaculture as an approach that gives us opportunity to be truly nature friendly and preserve Nature to our next generations.

  • Valery’s strengths lie in landscape/PERMACULTURE design and ORGANIC FOOD GROWING&GARDENS.

  • Also Valery is a promoter of benching (terracing) with Verdura blocks here in SoCal. Verdura is a proven and repetitively tested “much better” way of making terraces and embedment of slopes.

  • Valery is passionate about finding creative ways to improve our relationship to place. His work is as a consultant, designer, planner and builder in projects related to regenerative food production and sustainable farming.

  • Lives in Rancho Santa Margarita. Raises 2 kids.
